Conflict Minerals

Out of concern that certain minerals (tantalum, tungsten, tin and gold) mined in the Democratic, Republic of the Congo (DRC) or its adjoining countries might be utilized as a capital source for the armed groups who have been causing abuse of human rights, an inhuman action, ecological destruction and others, Article 1502 of the U.S. financial regulatory reform bill (Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act) was enacted on July 21, 2010, and the listed U.S. companies were imposed to specify and report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding usage status about the said conflict minerals.

In order to fulfill the social responsibilities of our procurement activity, Yamamoto enacted a policy to not use such conflict minerals in our business. Yamamoto, in collaboration with customers or other parties in our industry, is going to conduct a responsible procurement activity and other trials to eliminate the said conflict minerals.
