The current environment surrounding Japanese industry necessitates the con-

tinuous creation of innovative technologies. It requires that companies

transform themselves through those innovations in order to survive in the

global economy. Amid this challenging environment, we at Yamamoto

Manufacturing strive to maintain and improve our high standards of

technology, quality and reliability based on unique  production methods

and know-how. Thus we adhere to the key principle that “quality is the life

of manufacturing." The employees of Yamamoto Manufacturing make this

principle part of their lives and devote their full effort to the pursuit of

quality. As a company and corporate community, we strive always to

exceed the limits of possibility.

History

June 1945 Kokueki Manufacturing Inc. was established with capitalization of 850,000 yen.
February 1946 Kokueki Manufacturing began producing watch cases and dial plates.
October 1951 Kokueki Manufacturing changed its name to Yamamoto Mfg. Co., Ltd.
May 1959

Yamamoto Mfg. built its Irumagawa Factory in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture

as a dedicated factory for watch cases.

March 1961

Yamamoto Mfg. established Yamamoto Metal Industry Mfg. Co., Ltd. in Hidaka City,

Saitama Prefecture.

December 1962

Yamamoto Mfg. opened its engineering research center in Tokorozawa City,

Saitama Prefecture, for the conduct of R&D in electronics.

July 1967 Yamamoto Mfg. established a one-stop production factory for printed circuit boards on the premises of the Engineering Research Center.
March 1968

Yamamoto Mfg. obtained a UL listing and began exporting printed circuit boards

directly to the U.S.

March 1969

Yamamoto Mfg. established Ogawa Precision Mfg. Co., Ltd. in Ogawa-cho,

Saitama Prefecture,to step up the production structure of its Case Division.

April 1977 Yamamoto Mfg. introduced the kanban method and began operating the NYPS system.
November 1984

Yamamoto Mfg. built a factory for high-density, multi-layer printed circuit boards

on the premises of its Tokorozawa site.

January 1986

Yamamoto Mfg. built a new, state-of-the-art factory for printed circuit boards in Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture.

June 1989

Yamamoto Mfg. established Yamamoto Mfg. (HK) Co. Ltd.

in Hong Kong as a basis for the overseas expansion of its watch business.

August 1989 Yamamoto Mfg. established a new CAD center on the premises of its Tokorozawa site.
December 1989 Yamamoto Mfg. established Yamamoto Manufacturing (U.S.A.) Inc. in California, U.S.A.
August 1991 Yamamoto Mfg. established Senco Industries Limited in Hong Kong.
November 1994 Yamamoto Mfg.’s Honjo site obtained ISO-9002 certification.
December 1994

Yamamoto Mfg., established Dongguan Sanben Metal & Electronics Co., Ltd.

(which later became Dongguan Yamamoto Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.)

in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China.

June 1996 Yamamoto Mfg.’s Tokorozawa site was certified as an ISO-9001 facility.
December 1997

Dongguan Yamamoto Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. began the production of

printed circuit boards.

February 2000 Yamamoto Mfg.’s Honjo site was certified as an ISO-14001 facility.
December 2000 Yamamoto Mfg.’s Tokorozawa site was certified under ISO-14001.
February 2002 Yamamoto Mfg.’s Honjo site modified its systems in compliance with ISO-9001.
November 2006

Yamamoto Mfg., established a new factory of Ogawa Precision (HK) Co., Ltd.

in China.


June 2008
 

Dongguan Yamamoto Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. completed its new company building.
