Yamamoto Mfg.was established in 1945 as a manufacturer of Watch Dials.
Over our 70-year history we've developed a range of processing technologies not only for the manufacture of dial plates but also to help our customers create products that exhibit esthetic beauty and delicacy. A Leading Company with the Largest Share in Japan
Today, as consumer needs become increasingly diverse, the watch category is becoming more segmented. There are various types of watches now available, from simple ones used only to keep time to those that are more fashionable and unique in design and movement, thus symbolizing the status of the people who wear them. For more than half a century since its founding in 1945, Yamamoto Manufacturing has produced watch dials. Our experience has made us one of the industry's leading companies worldwide, and we boast the largest share in Japan. Dial manufacturing encompasses a number of processes, including the stamping of formed plastic sheets, the spot-welding of feet that stop the movement (applicable only to metal dial plates), finish polishing, plating, coating, printing, placement of time symbols, etc. Among these, the printing process is considered the most difficult. We have developed a unique printing system to meet Japan's needs for high quality. Indeed, this groundbreaking system was instrumental in the dramatic growth of our market share. In recent years, watches have featured dial plates offering greater added value. We can help you create luxury dial plates by combining our original electrocasting technology with composite metal/plastic patterns, three-dimensional designs and distinctive materials such as lacquer and pearl oyster shell.
We can create detailed printing patterns through pad printing.
We also have screen-printing capabilities with which to express a wide range of colors.
Combination of decorative plating and coating opens the door to limitless variatons of colorful expressions.

Electro-casting is a technology whereby metal ions present between the electrodes are electrodeposited onto the surface of a die, after which the surface shape of the die is faithfully transferred with metal surface roughness of sub-μm level. With the help of our electro-casting technology, we can process not only watch dials but also various metals such as gold, silver, nickel and rhodium, to the desired textures.
